Summer Programs
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District offers summer academic programs for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The following link contains information about past programs as well as other local and national. The dates and times for summer 2008 are to be determined and may be found on the CFBISD web site later in the school year.

District Programs
Summer Academy for Gifted Education (SAGE)
The SAGE program is run by CFBISD. Students must be qualified academically and be entering grades 1-8. Many science topics are covered. The 2008 program location will be Kent Elementary School. For more information, check here.
Exploration Academy
The Exploration Academy program is also run by CFBISD offering courses which explore science and math, to name a few, for students entering grades 1-8.. This program will also be located at Kent Elementary School. Additional details can be found at this link.
Amateur Naturalist
The Amateur Naturalist program is run by CFBISD and offers instruction on things about nature. Topics for this program include such things as pond sampling, bird identification, erosion, crafts, rope tying and insect study. The Amateur Naturalist program will also be located at Kent Elementary School for students entering grades 1-8. 2008 class information is available here.
After the Bell
After the Bell Academy is available for students in grades K through 5. After the Bell include educational enrichment, field trips, swimming and recreational activities. Check the District After the Bell web site for the name and number of the Summer School Coordinator near you and for additional details
