C-FB AGT offers a limited number of scholarships for students to attend summer programs. This is made possible through the generous donations of members and friends who support gifted education. Applications will be accepted beginning on April 1st and close on May 1st.

Each year, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented strives to honor a person, or persons, who have made significant contributions in the area of gifted education. The nominee may be anyone involved in some way with the Gifted and Talented Program, parents, educations or community members.

 

Years ago, the Association chose the swan as a symbol of honor. The swan is not only graceful, as we think of it swimming effortlessly on a pond or gliding on the wind, it is also strong and loyal. The swan will fight to protect its young from predators - even man. We think of the beauty and grace that giftedness inspires. We think of the strength and loyalty that must be shared in order to support gifted education. So, the swan is an ideal symbol for this award.
