The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Association for the Gifted and Talented (C-FB AGT) is an independent, voluntary organization of parents, educators and friends of the gifted. The Association was established in 1979 and continues today as a parent resource and advocacy group committed to ensuring that all gifted and talented students in the district receive appropriate educational opportunities.
We achieve this by:
¨ Keeping members up to date through our website, newsletters and email, ¨ Providing speaker forums throughout the year, ¨ Co-hosting an annual district-wide conference on gifted education, ¨ Serving as a materials resource for parents and educators, ¨ Informing members of legislative issues impacting gifted education, ¨ Advocating for exemplary gifted and talented programs in the district, and ¨ Networking with campus groups, parent groups, the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). |
